Farm Tours
Take one of our our farm tours and learn more about what it takes to run a farm in rural NC. We are strictly an animal farm so you don't have to worry about us putting you to work in the field harvesting.
Instead, you get to play and interact with our fun-loving goats, pigs, horses, and two guard dogs that may seem intimidating but are really just two big fur babies that always want some lovin'.
Each farm tour lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour depending on group size and questions asked.
What you will experience:

Get up close and personal with Angora Goats, kunekune pigs - Frick and Frack and friendly livestock dogs.

Learn about care and feeding and what it takes to keep Angora Goats.

Learn about the yarn made from our goats (mohair fiber) they produce and see what can be done with it

Photo opportunities (if animals will cooperate).

Visit the General Store on the farm.
Tour requirements:

Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult over 21

$10.00 per person for up to 4 people; $8.00 per person for 5 -12 people

No flip flops or sandals allowed please wear sneakers, shoes or boots

If you have a larger group, accommodations can be made with prior notice and negotiated rate.
The Dogs
We have 2 Livestock Guardian Dogs, Cleo and Tank that watch over our goats. They are playful and sweet, as long as you are not a Coyote or any other predator. They live with the goats full time. No visiting dogs are allowed by the goat barn.
The Goats
We have a herd of 16 purebred Angora goats and 3 mixed breed goats. You may not have heard of Angora goats (and they are often mistaken for sheep) but they are a VERY fuzzy type of goat! We shear them twice a year and process the mohair into socks we will sell in the store. Ask to see if we have yarn available!
The Horses
We currently have two American Quarter Horses,
a Paint horse named Spirit and a bay mare named Lena. They love peppermints and of course, carrots!
The Pigs
We currently have two kunekune pigs named Frick and Frack born on January 31st, 2021. They are very friendly and love to be brushed. You will get to feed and brush them on the tour!
